October Theme: Creating Community!

This week, we kicked off our October theme, Creating Community, by talking about how small acts of kindness can help people feel connected and cared for. We learned about Newton at Home, an organization that helps older adults stay connected and involved in their community.

The kids created “Happy Mail” for Newton at Home members, decorating cards with colorful pictures and writing seniors a thoughtful message. Our goal was simple: make someone in our community smile! We talked about how even something as small as a kind note can make a big difference and help someone feel special.

Coming up next week: We'll be helping set up for our Fall Family Picnic from 5pm - 7pm at 75 Vernon Street. We hope to see you then!  RSVP here!
